Miracle Mile, Looking West

This image shows the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Detroit Street in the Miracle Mile district of Los Angeles. My building is immediately to the right. Structures across the street include the Dominguez Wilshire Building (1930), the Wilshire Tower Building (1928, originally Desmond's clothing store), and "The Camera" (1938). Further down the street is the El Rey Theater (1928) which has a solid selection of shows these days, including Cornelius, Bebel Gilberto, Voxtrot, Kinky, and Victor Wooten, among others. The Doc and I have had some good times there; it's close enough to stumble happily to/from. :)
